Singapore’s afternoon tea scene ranges from hotel lounges with seasonal themed menus to heritage-inspired Peranakan sets and nostalgic cafe experiences across Orchard, Marina Bay and Farrer Park. The selection highlights varying formats, from buffet spreads and champagne upgrades to traditional tiered service, making it useful for celebrations, catch-ups or quieter weekday indulgences at different price points and timeframes.
Quite frankly, there’s nothing more sophisticated than taking 2 or 3 hours out of the day to sip tea from a bone china cup whilst nibbling on crustless sandwiches. It’s delightful to be able to sit down for afternoon tea, catching up with girlfriends or spoiling loved ones on a special occasion. Ah, the tai tai life.
For me, afternoon tea must be served at the table with scones, clotted cream and jam— that’s the true English way of having tea. With that in mind, I went in search of the best afternoon high teas that Singapore has to offer. Here are my current favourite spots to indulge in this most glorious of afternoon rituals!
Just a note: do check regularly, as many places refresh their menus or run limited-time themes and seasonal offers throughout the year.

1. Tea Lounge at the Conrad Singapore Orchard

The Art of Chocolate Afternoon Tea offers an immersive spin on the classic ritual, centring on chocolate without overwhelming. Created with Valrhona, the weekday edition unfolds at a measured pace, with optional upgrades for free-flow prosecco, wines, or champagne if you want to extend your afternoon.
A highlight is the Dark Chocolate Quiche, a balanced creation that indulges without excess. Priced at S$54++ per adult and S$27++ per child, it runs from 12pm to 5pm (Mon to Fri) until 10 Jul 2026.
The mood turns sociable and expansive as the Art of Chocolate Afternoon Tea shifts to a buffet-style spread. Served in 2 seatings from 12pm to 2.15pm and 3pm to 5.15pm (Sat & Sun) until 12 Jul 2026, it suits celebratory gatherings and long-overdue catch-ups where time slips by easily. At S$74++ per adult and S$37++ per child, it is slightly pricier, but the variety of the spread and its interactive format make it worthwhile.

2. Atrium at Pan Pacific Singapore

Pan Pacific Singapore’s Atrium might just be one of my favourite places to wind down after a long week at work. The Peranakan Afternoon Tea running from 11 May to 11 Jun 2026, takes on a distinctly local personality with a Peranakan-inspired spread that feels both playful and rooted in tradition. One of the standout creations is the Fish Tank, a visually striking matcha financier layered with blue pea jelly and finished with a bright yuzu whipped ganache.
Alongside it, savoury bites such as Peranakan Rojak reimagined with beetroot pie tee and Nyonya Kerabu with baby abalone add texture and variety, making each tier feel considered rather than repetitive.
The experience is served as a 3-tier set with the added bonus of a main course, priced at S$58++ per pax (Mon to Fri), making it a satisfying mid-day indulgence without feeling excessive. The space shifts into a more generous buffet-style format at S$68++ per pax (Sat & Sun), where the same dishes are available in unlimited portions, encouraging a slower, more exploratory approach.
Served across 2 seatings from 1pm to 3pm and 4pm to 6pm, the offering continues to celebrate well-loved local dishes. For those keen to elevate the occasion, a glass of Taittinger Brut Réserve Champagne is available at an additional S$20++, adding a celebratory finish to an afternoon tea.

3. Lobby Lounge at the Westin Singapore

High above the city at The Lobby Lounge, this afternoon tea offers a nostalgic escape with a distinctly polished edge. Once Upon a Tea Time with White Rabbit is inspired by the beloved White Rabbit Candy, and the experience takes its familiar creamy sweetness and reimagines it into a line-up that feels elegant rather than overly whimsical.
On the savoury side, dishes like Baked Spiny Lobster with torch mentaiko mayo bring a richer, more indulgent note, while the Ocean Jewel Funnel layers salmon roe, sashimi, and delicate accompaniments for something lighter yet still satisfying.
Desserts embrace the White Rabbit motif with delightful surprises, from the silky White Rabbit Milk Pudding to a freshly baked vanilla egg tart, each infused with that unmistakable milky essence.
Served from 12pm to 2pm and 2.30pm to 5pm (Mon to Fri), and from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and 4pm to 6pm (Sat & Sun). At S$78++ per pax, it includes a cup of White Rabbit Milk Tea and unlimited coffee or tea, making it the perfect indulgence for a serene weekday escape or a lingering weekend rendezvous.

5. 10|SCOTTS

10|SCOTTS transforms relaxed elegance into a cosy living room experience on Orchard Road, inviting guests to indulge in a Grand Afternoon Tea. The experience begins with a welcome glass of Saicho Jasmine Sparkling Tea, setting a light, floral tone before you move into a combination of counter-served savouries and a tiered selection of sweets.
Signature bites like the Seafood Vol-au-Vent bring a buttery richness, while classics such as the Vanilla Mille-Feuille add a familiar, indulgent finish. On the sweeter side, desserts range from Coconut Mousse with tropical notes to a rich Valrhona Dark Chocolate Mousse, alongside classics such as Rhubarb Tart and Panna Cotta.
Beyond the core spread, there is plenty to explore, especially if you enjoy a more varied tea selection. Options like Black Darjeeling Royal Flush offer a bright, floral profile with a lingering finish, while blends such as Eight Treasures bring a layered mix of herbs, florals, and gentle sweetness. For something lighter, Oolong Beauty of the East leans grassy and aromatic, whereas the Golden Moscato Oolong introduces a fruitier, more rounded character.
Priced at S$65++ per adult and S$30++ per child, the tea is available from 2pm to 4.30pm (Mon to Fri), with 2 seatings on from 11.30am to 2pm & 2.30pm to 5pm (Sat & Sun).

6. Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

Right in the heart of Orchard Road, the Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel offers a refined take on afternoon tea. Sit back in this luxurious sunlit atrium with textured stone floors and an open, spacious layout for the delightfully named Summer Berries Afternoon Tea (S$48++ Mon to Thu, S$58++ Fri to Sun).
From 1 Apr to 30 Jun 2026, this seasonal showcase transforms vibrant berries into elegant sweet and savoury bites. It’s a thoughtfully curated spread that balances visual finesse with bright and refreshing flavours, perfect if you prefer your afternoon tea to feel light rather than overly rich.
Our favourites include the Strawberry Panna Cotta Verrine, a layered creation of pistachio dacquoise, passion fruit sabayon, vanilla panna cotta and strawberry consommé jelly — it is texture and tang in every spoonful. The Mini Pistachio Raspberry Gâteau in its glossy red chocolate shell gives way to pistachio sponge and raspberry confit, while the Smoked Trout Salsa Vol-au-Vent adds a savoury contrast with its crisp pastry shell and herb-laced filling.
Only on weekends, savour the Prawn and Mango Tartlet, which harmonises the umami of poached prawn with the sweetness of mango chutney and a hint of spice.
Beyond the core set, the experience is elevated with 2 types of free-flow canapés (rotated daily!), alongside unlimited TWG Tea and Lavazza coffee. Weekend diners also enjoy a flute of champagne or sparkling tea for a little sinful indulgence.
Enjoy all this for 20% off (Fri to Sun) with promo code LL20OFF (with 1-day advance reservation). Whether you’re planning a catch-up session, low-key celebration or simply want a polished afternoon tea in a central location, this one ticks all the right boxes.

7. The Landing Point at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

Set along the waterfront, The Landing Point at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore presents the Strawberry Bliss Afternoon Tea. This seasonal favourite leans fully into the charm of premium Korean strawberries. There is a clear focus on letting the fruit take centre stage, pairing the strawberries in ways that highlight their natural tartness and fragrance rather than masking it.
The savoury selections bring a balanced contrast, weaving in quality ingredients from both land and sea, subtly lifted by the brightness of fresh strawberries. It is in the desserts, however, where the theme truly comes into its own.
The Pistachio Strawberry stands out as a rich, nutty cube layered with pure pistachio paste, while the Strawberry Shortcake offers a softer, more familiar note with hints of vanilla bean running through each bite.
There is also a refined take on a classic with the Strawberry Rhubarb tart, which delivers a gentle tang in a more polished form. Each set is served with a Strawberry Pu’er infusion, blending house-brewed sticky rice Pu’er tea with strawberry puree for something fragrant yet grounding.
Priced at S$68++ per adult and S$34++ per child, with 2 seatings from 12pm to 2.30pm and 3.30pm to 6pm, it is a thoughtful option for those who appreciate seasonal ingredients presented with a light touch of elegance.

8. 1864, Sofitel Singapore City Centre

Perched on the 5th floor of Sofitel Singapore City Centre, 1864 offers a Carnival-Themed Afternoon Tea that leans into a sense of playful curiosity from the very start. Running until 15 Jun 2026 from 2pm to 5pm, the set is priced at S$68++ per pax, with a minimum of 2 diners.
The menu is where things get interesting, blurring the lines between sweet and savoury in ways that feel inventive without being gimmicky. Highlights include the Truffle Corn Mousseline Cone topped with popcorn, which balances earthy richness with a light crunch, and the Salmon Macaron that delivers a savoury twist on a typically sweet treat.
There is also a Coconut Arancini with mochi and finger lime caviar, adding texture and a hint of brightness to the plate. The Chocolate Burger is perhaps the most playful of the lot, designed to look convincingly savoury while leaning fully into dessert territory.
Alongside the food, themed drinks like the Popcorn Dream Mocktail and the Berry Carnival Cocktail add another layer to the experience, both in flavour and presentation. With its imaginative plating and unexpected combinations, this is a refreshing change from the usual tiered afternoon tea.

10. Brunches Cafe

Within the endearing streets of Farrer Park, Brunches Cafe offers a high tea experience that leans heavily into nostalgia, with a setting that feels more like a curated time capsule than a typical cafe. Since opening in 2015, it has built a reputation for its playful retro aesthetic, where vintage furniture and quirky knick-knacks fill every corner.
The afternoon tea, served daily until 5pm, is simple yet satisfying at S$44.90++ per pax. Presented in a classic 3-tier birdcage stand, the set offers sweet and savoury bites that appeal to diverse tastes without fuss.
Expect familiar cafe-style treats rather than intricate creations, making it a casual, approachable choice. Each set includes a pot of house-blend tea, rounding out the experience. It may not have hotel-lounge polish, but that is its charm.
The standout feature is hard to miss: a Mini Cooper cleverly transformed into a dining booth, cut in half and fitted with cushioned seating for four. It is easily the most photographed spot in the cafe, and part of the fun lies in soaking up that slightly whimsical, throwback atmosphere while you dine.

How to choose the right afternoon tea in Singapore?
Choose Lobby Lounge at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, Tea Lounge at the Conrad Singapore Orchard, or Atrium at Pan Pacific Singapore if you prefer a longer, more sociable afternoon with buffet elements and themed menus. For a quieter and more traditional experience, TWG and Violet Oon Singapore at ION Orchard suit those who enjoy classic tea service, scones and heritage flavours.
Lobby Lounge at the Westin Singapore works well for nostalgic themes and richer savoury dishes, while 1864 at Sofitel Singapore City Centre is better suited to diners who enjoy playful presentations and unconventional flavour pairings.
